

CONSONANTS
There are 33 consonants in Khmer language. In this module, there are 7 sub-lessons. Each of the sub-lessons will teach 5 consonants, except lesson 6 and lesson 7 that only 4 consonants will be introduced.
Note: The 33 consonants of Khmer language are divided into two categories, highlighted by different colors: red and green. The red ones are consonants with phonetic sound of / / while the green ones are equipped with phonetic sound of / /. It should also be noted that different phonetic sound produces different pronunciation when combined with vowels.

Brief Summary
NUMBERING
Students will be introduced to and taught Khmer traditional style of numbering ranging from number one to ten.
VOWELS
In Khmer language, there are 23 vowels. Thus, this module comprises of 6 sub-lessons. Lesson 1-5 include 4 vowels while the last sub-lesson only 3 vowels are being taught.

COMBINATIONS
Learning how to combine consonants and vowels is essential in Khmer language learning, for the combinations help students to pronounce words correctly. Due to time constraint, only 3 sub-lessons were introduced. Each sub-lesson will teach students how to combine a consonant with a vowel and how to combine a consonant with a vowel and with another consonant.
